アメリカのOHAの国際委員会から、是非日本からのプレゼンターを
との連絡が入っております。
締切日を過ぎていますが、参加率を上げたいので、まだ充分可能
とのことです。委員会委員長を務めますJessica Weiderhorn
から以下英文で連絡が入りました。クリントン大統領の故郷、リトル
ロックでの学会です。10月25～29日ですが、まだペーパーは国際
会員からは受け付けます。締切日はないようで、彼女もヨーロッパ
の3月末のアムステルダムでの社会学研究学会に参加し、応募者を募る
予定とのことです。
それでは、皆様、是非ご検討ください。

As you know, next year’s meeting will be held on October 25-29, 2006
in Little Rock, Arkansas. Proposals should be postmarked January 31,
2006, but I’m sure proposals that would bring international participants will
be considered after this date. I will inquire about moneys for support
of international travelers. I know in the past there has been some support.

I will be attending the European Social Science Research Conference
in Amsterdam at the end of March and will be looking for possible
presenters for the OHA conference, as well as papers for the OHA Review. I’ve
contacted Sandro Portelli about a possible panel with the young people of the
Circolo Bosio (a neighborhood in Rome) – an oral history project he led which
will be published as a book in Italy. He is interested but funding their
travel is the issue.
