植民地期朝鮮と占領地フィリピンにおける元日本軍『慰安婦』生存者の『語り』を聞き取る　ーーおばあちゃんと私の小さな声ーー日本軍『慰安婦』問題に対する一つの試み
本研究は、いわゆる元日本軍の「慰安婦」にされた女性たちの「語り」に着目し、植民地朝鮮と占領地フィリピンの女性被害者たちに見られる共通点と差異を見定めることにより、社会的に構築される偏見や無理解が、性暴力と戦争によりダメージを受けた女性の、現在の生活や語りに及ぼす影響を考察する。日本軍「慰安婦」の被害を、ただ「過去」の経験のみならず、見過ごされがちな当事者たちの「現在」の日常的な存在のあり方を見直すことにより、同時代を生きる私たちの社会的役割と責任を模索する。

– 할머니와 나의 작은 목소리: 일본군 ‘위안부’ 문제에 대한 또 하나의 시도-
본 연구는 소위 일본군 ‘위안부’가 된 여성들의 ‘서사’에 착안하여, 식민지조선과 점령지필리핀 여성피해자들에게 나타난 공통점과 차이점을 고찰함으로써, 사회적으로 구축된 편견이나 사람들의 이해부족이 성폭력과 전쟁으로 인해 훼손 당한 여성들의 현재 삶이나 생애의 서사에 미친 영향들을 고찰하고자 한다. 이 연구는, 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해를 단순히 ‘과거’의 경험으로서가 아니라, 간과되기 쉬운 당사자들의 ‘현재’로 이어지는 연속된 경험이자 일상적으로 존재하는 모습으로 재정의하면서, 동시대를 사는 우리의 사회적 역할과 책임을 모색한다.
Understanding the Trauma of Survivors of Sexual Slavery by the Japanese　Military:
A Comparative Study of the Korean and Philippine Experience
This research aims to focus on the ‘narrative’ of those who were used as ‘Sexual Slaves by the Japanese Military’ taken from the colonized Korea and occupied Philippine area: observing the common features and differences in their narrative, I would like to analyze how the socially constructed prejudice/indifference /unsympathetic attitude influence the present lives of those women, who were sexually assaulted. Not that we regard these issues as their/our ‘past’ experience, but regard it as a continuing experience to this day, This will lead us to reconsider the possible social role and responsibility of the younger generation who lives/d in the same age/century with these ‘Grannies’.
