戦争体験のインタビューを受ける者としての所感
終戦後、ジャワでJSP（日本降伏軍人）として英国、蘭軍により報復的、過酷な取り扱いを受けた事実を講演し、インタビューを受けた。
感じたことは
1.「日本軍はすべて悪」と決めてかかり、歴史的事実を勉強しようともしない。日本軍は連合国の捕虜、抑留者を故意に虐待した。連合国はすべて正しい事をしたと信じきっている。
2.その後、商社員として英国に駐在したが、日英貿易不均衡問題でも日本が一方的に悪いとしてなかなか議論がかみ合わなかった。

Experiences of having been interviewed on JSPs (Japanese Surrendered Personnel)
and Anglo-Japanese trade imbalance issues by the British and the Dutch.
I have made many presentations in the UK and in the Netherlands on my experiences as a JSP (Japanese Surrendered Personnel) in Java where revengeful and hard treatments were made by the British and the Dutch Army. At that time, I was interviewed with the following questions.
Interviewers had perceived views which were centered on the idea of ‘Bad Japanese soldiers’ and they declined to study the historical facts. Their firm beliefs were that Japanese army did intentionally maltreat the Allied POWs and Internees, whereas Allied powers did only good.
Later, I stayed in the U.K. as a representative of a trading firm and encountered similar British trader’s criticism of ‘Bad trade practices of Japanese industrialists as the origin of Anglo-Japanese trade imbalances.’
In both cases there was virtually no common ground to argue on.
