聞き取りにおいて、相手が「本当のこと」を話してくれることは、その後の分析の大前提と思われる。しかし、とくに通常の会話でも話しにくい話題では一定の「嘘」は避けられない。そこで、性労働に関する「微妙な」聞き取りのケースから、「嘘」を「虚偽のデータ」として捨ててしまうのではなく、その「嘘」がどうしてつかれたのかを、インタビュアーと相手の関係を通した社会構造の中で見ることによって分析に活かす論理を紹介する。
Situating Interviewees’ Lies in a Social Structure: from a Case Study of Interviewing a Sex Worker
The interviewee telling the ‘truth’ seems for the interviewer to be the foundation for a later analysis. But, particularly when the topic is a sensitive matter if mentioned in daily conversation, it is often inevitable that interviewees tell some ‘lies’. So, using a ‘tricky’ case study asking about sex work, this presentation suggests a theory of not discarding the interviewee’s ‘lie’ but to activate it in analysis by situating them in a social structure through the relationship between the interviewee and the interviewer.
