ここ数年、戦跡など有形物の保存や活用方法については活発に議論が行われ、具体的な活動も積み重ねられてきましたが、地元の町レベルで行われている慰霊祭や儀式、また体験者たちどうしの語り合い、市民運動や博物館に付随するかたちで行われてきた語り伝えの活動など、「無形表現」の領域については、比較的取り組みが遅れているように思います。そこで、この報告では、最近の東京大空襲・戦災資料センターの活動のなかから、「無形表現」の記録化についての実践を取り上げ、その特質や意義について考察したい。
How can we inherit the war memories and ‘immaterial’ expressions – based on the activities of the Center for Documenting the Tokyo Raids and War Damages
There has been a lot of discussion on the preservation/use of war relics/ruins/artifacts, and there are various activities to preserve them; however, there is much less concern to preserve ‘shapeless’/intangible properties, such as local ceremonies for war commemoration, acts of remembrance, memorial service, the narrative group of the war survivors, which were often integrated as the part of citizen’s activity or peace museum. In my report, I wish to introduce some of our activities to record these ‘intangible’ relics, and wish to reconsider the character and value and the significance of this activity.
